My experience here was wonderful. Kaz is honest and professional. I brought my car in with steering wheel issues, dead battery and needing an oil change. Kaz diagnosed the steering issue promptly and gave me a call back with a quote, explaining some other issues the car was having, radiator leak, water pump leak, etc. What i like about this is he gave me a detailed break down everything that needed work, but he catered to my budget and suggested only the most necessary fixes. They repaired the car promptly, and it drives perfectly. These guys are on point with diagnosing issues, as i had a cross-country road trip planned which i just completed and the car did not miss a beat.

For honest friendly helpful service, Master Automobiles are the ones to see. Cheap quick fixes are available elsewhere, and getting part of the job done is just another break down waiting to happen. Parts and experienced labour does not come cheap. Master Automobiles excell and would have a full five star rating except there's a few people out there without patience and understanding of the problems they have with their cars or the need to co-ordinate the repairs. Good reliable mechanics are rare..and at Master Automobiles I know I am in good hands. Thank you for many years of great service.

Very professional. They helped me over the phone in relation to burning sulphur smell in my car exhaust system. They had advised me to use unleaded 98 octane fuel and run the car for about 5 minutes until the sulphur smell diasppeared. The idea worked thanks guys. Will probably get my car serviced with you in the future :) very happy car is running smooth and clean. Love my mazda 2 MAZDASPEED.

My Mazda cx5 diesel suffered from a serious power issue, the engine started running rough intermittently, then the car stopped twice on the freeway. I brought the car to Mazda twice, the first time they didn't find any faults, the second time Mazda diagnosed the issue to a faulty high pressure fuel pump and provided an eye watering quote to replace it. I brought the car to Master for a second opinion and accepted Kaz's recommendation to do a full diagnostic which found the issue to be with the common fuel rail and not the fuel pump. Kaz and the team at Master are true professional and persevered to find the root cause to the problem, they kept me in updated with progress, fixed the issue and saved me thousands. I can’t recommend them enough to anyone in need of a car mechanic.

Couldn’t thank Kaz and his team enough for their work on my wife’s car recently. Took the car to the manufacturer to have it looked at thinking they could make the necessary repairs. The service they provided couldn’t have been further from what was required.. Kaz then took on the job on providing his thoughts and a ballpark figure and he couldn’t have been more accurate! Husband brought my car in for a service as it was repeatedly stalling. The team diagnosed the issue, cleaned out the engine, fixed the RPMs. My car now drives very smoothly, acceleration has improved significantly, gear shifts are the smoothest they’ve ever been and it no longer stalls! I’m also really impressed with the service. They kept the car an extra day to do a cold start to make sure the stalling didn’t occur again. They’re also very communicative and explained everything to my husband, including what needed to be done and then afterwards, about what had been done. We will be back for our regular car services and I wouldn’t hesitate recommending Master Automobiles to others.

Various mechanics tried to fix complex DPF issues with my van. I needed an experienced specialist. My van was a tough one but Master Automobiles really went the extra mile to fix it. Needed some repairs done on a dodgy DPF and Kaz and the team here sorted out the issues that were causing it to block, gave it a clean and it's been running well ever since. Had my father's car serviced here too and it's now running better than ever! Many mechanics just change the oil and send you on your way, but from my experience here, they are very thorough and detailed. They also take the time to explain the issues. Great service, will be taking all my cars here from now on.

The guys did a terrific job cleaning my DPF and servicing my ex-ambulance Sprinter. At a later date I was working on converting my work van to an RV, but in doing so I inadvertently stuffed it up and I couldn't start the engine. Over the weekend during his own time, Kaz, over the phone gave me free advise and I managed to get going again. Great service!!!!!

I had a black smoke issue with my car. The team at masters automobiles identified the issues and Wrote me a report so I can take it back to the dealer who I bought the car from. In hindsight I should have done a purchase inspection at masters automobiles during the statutory warranty period as this would have solved my issues from the start!

I don't generally leave reviews but felt I needed to share the great experience I had with the team from Master Automobiles. I just picked up my older model Mercedes after leaving it with the team. It was starting to show its age and needed some TLC in the mechanical department - WOW! It was literally like driving a new car again. Every aspect was spot on - great acceleration, smooth handling and sharp steering. Can't thank you guys enough for making my car a joy to drive again. I have been in the hands of a major dealer for the past few years for servicing and maintenance - never again! The team at Master Autos know their cars in a way that gives you confidence that they are very good at what they do. If you are tired of feeling underwhelmed by the service you get at the major dealership "service department" book your car in with these guys - you wont be disappointed. AWESOME CAR REPAIR came in with my Mercedes C250 CDI had a dpf problem which other maintenance companies were unable to repair multiple times. Came to Master Automobiles and they were able to diagnose the problem and went above and beyond with the repair with all parts replaced under their warranty, one part ended up failing but was immediately replaced with no extra cost. Very highly recommend with their amazing customer service and they were very friendly to speak to. Can’t get any better than this!

I called about the D.P.F in my 2015 hilux was called back straight away and given the advice to call Toyota and see if they will cover it as its a recalled problem..i called and yes Toyota are covering the cost to replace it..Master Automobiles could very easily said bring it in and charged to diagnose the issue and the charge to fix it but they are honest and gave me the heads up saving me $2500 cant thank them enough

Have been regular customers for the past few years and had an issue with a rear brake light failing during holiday period. Called on the weekend and they were closed. The owner (Kaz) answered on his mobile and offered to personally met me on site to fix it. He even didn’t charge for service or parts given we are regular customers. **Old traditional customer service at its best! We were already won over as customers with both cars given their quality work on our cars and reasonably priced service bills, but this cements the best I’ve had from anywhere. Cannot recommend enough!! Thank you.

Must say I was impressed with the ability to diagnose and fix the root cause of my DPF issues on my ford focus - a much better experience than i was getting from my local ford dealer. I can't speck highly enough about the team at Masters. My car is a 2015 M series X 3 diesel with a blocked up DPF. The car was towed to Coastal BM 3 mouths later they could not diagnose the cause of the blockage. Then the car was towed to Masters where the boys found the injector was the problem. I just filled up with diesel 1089 k to empty. thanks heaps Tim

Master Automobiles has gone above and beyond. I have a VW Golf diesel and had recurring issues with the DPF light. They identified the underlying issue - one which had been missed by two previous service centres! I've had no issues with the DPF since getting my car back from them. They talked me through everything in detail and never treated me like I was a bother for asking 1000 questions. I feel better even owning this car now that I know I have a top quality mechanic who specialises in cars like mine.

My Ute was blowing smoke so badly it was not suitable for road use. I was making arrangements to sell it to the wreckers when a local mechanic recommended Masters Automobiles as they may be more experienced with Deisel engines. After dropping in unannounced I was greeted by Kaz who I could see was extremely busy but was kind enough to lift the bonnet and surprisingly to me then used more of his time to do some tests. After leaving the Ute with him and the Masters Team for a few days my Ute was returned to me running better than it has done for many years. Professional and great to deal with...the team at Master Automobiles not only discussed my diesel particulate filter issue on the phone (thanks Kaz), and provided an estimate which was less stressful than previous advice on my beloved 407 twin turbo Peugeot diesel coupe which in its typically French style had flashed a warning that “ particulate filter fluid low” ...leading to my panic reference to the handbook, to a dodgy couple of “you tube” fixes, and then research on the Internet....the latter led to MasterAutomobiles... ..with a $800-900 guesstimate in mind, and provided with a late model, clean and air conditioned loan car on a 40 degree day I left the 407 with Criss and ventured out at around 8:15 am...phoned around noon, as the heat had climbed to 42 and tentatively asked how things were progressing, to be advised that not only was the car ready, but the amount due was around 25% less than the estimate...made my Christmas.. ...returned to collect at lunchtime when the delightful Paula processed my account and provided a summary of work completed...all done in a most efficient, professional and timely manner...highly recommend ?

The first time I took my car to Master Automobiles I did not know anything about them, I researched Diesel Specialists and took a chance, I was more than happy with the result and big savings compared to a Dealership. The second time I used Master Automobiles was when I noticed a few flat spots with the car and booked it in for a service. Kaz phoned to inform me that the Head Gasket was blown and that he spent some time researching my vehicle to discover a known fault in the motor, he also had this confirmed by the local dealer. I then took my car to my dealer who had serviced it since new and they ended up putting a new engine in the car. Master Automobiles could have given me a huge repair bill to fix the problem but instead passed me on to the Dealership, especially since the car was 3.5 years outside of Warranty. I would not hesitate to recommend Master Automobiles as a very trustworthy Motor Repairer, their honesty has certainly earned my respect. Give them a go, you will be more than satisfied.

The guys at Master Autos provide fantastic service. I have a problematic DPF on my car and they did not sugar-coat it or expediently throw spare parts at the problem. I had a problem with my 2013 diesel Subaru Forester, running badly, engine ,management light on and "limp home" mode. My usual mechanics were unable to rectify the fault and 4 months down the track I am still waiting for a return phone call from Subaru. I located Master Automobiles with Google and read the great reviews. Took my vehicle there and they went straight to the problem and fixed it. Since then there have been no problems with the engine. A loan car was supplied over the weekend and the car was ready when promised. I would recommend them to anyone with a diesel engine problem.

I never knew what a DPF was until my engine light went on. I drive a v10 bi-turbo diesel Volkswagen Touareg and the VW dealership recommended replacing both DPF filters for several thousands of dollars. My wife did the “I told you so” for the tenth time (this car is not for the faint of heart or shallow pockets… or common sense). After a quick search online, I found that Master Automobiles clearly stood out from the rest, who not only cleaned the filters for a fraction of the price of new ones but also replaced the defective sensors, the root cause of the problem (without having to drop the engine!). They have a few cars like mine on their books, meaning that not only are they experienced in servicing this type of car, there are other idiots willing to own a V10 Touareg, which makes me feel less alone in that abusive relationship I call “car ownership” (I think it owns me). They give me great advice whenever a dashboard light goes on (which can usually cost thousands to rectify), saving me heaps of money. The previous owners of this car were negligent / stingy but now the car is great thanks to VW and now Master Automobiles. I now have Master Automobiles service my car and they were also kind enough to quickly replace the flimsy, easy to break plastic handbrake release lever. The car never ceases to amaze me with the list of problems and Master Automobiles are great at fixing them. By the way, don’t buy a used V10 VW Touareg without a proper check from these guys. Actually, don’t buy a V10 Touareg sober.

I recently visited (via search engine) the Master Automobiles site as I was not satisfied with my (then) current service provider when I queried why my 2011 Passat continued to blow smoke after having my DPF fixed. I subsequently went to Master Automobiles who informed me precisely what was wrong. Yes I had to spend some money on my Car (340,000Km's), but the service and workmanship was spot on, and i was given a near new courtesy car. My car runs perfectly now - like new. I thoroughly recommend Master Automobiles to anyone - you'll know its in good hands.

Fantastic service. These guys really know their stuff; and are genuine about doing the right work needed at a fait price. I just had a rear window regulator problem fixed. Had my Mercedes serviced by a local workshop and i found them very cheap BUT all they were doing was changing the oil. They couldnt diagnose computer problems so i had to start looking for another workshop. I found Master Automobiles on the net and i thought i would try them out. Met Chris, Ben and Trevor at Master Auto., fixed all my problems, great service and they know their cars. Highly recommend. Excellent friendly service,.My car now runs the way it should!!

Hi Kaz and Chris, Just wanted to write this note to thank you for the services that you guys have recently provided. Master Automobile has serviced our 2003 Commadore for the past 12 years. We have always been satisfied with the work conducted and the friendly advice that we have found to always be accurate. Master Automobile being specialists in Mercedes Benz now also service my 2013 C200 Mercedes Benz. I decided to move to Master Automobiles from Mercedes Benz based on a recent experience. My C200 engine light came on and would no turn off. I initially approached Mercedes Benz to resolve. Mercedes Benz diagnostics indicated that there was a wiring problem. After many weeks of investigation and many hundreds of dollars Mercedes Benz said the problem had been fixed. After a couple of days the engine light reappeared. I decided to not return to Mercedes Benz as I was not confident with their expertise. I asked Master Automobiles to investigate. They reached out to their network and were able to resolve the issue within 2 days. My C200 is back to driving like a new car. Extremely happy. Guys you did a fantastic job. I was at the end of my tether with my local specialist dealer service regarding a DPF issue and my Peugeot 4007. Speaking with Caz at Master Automobiles I straight away knew they were familiar with the issue that might be at the heart of the problem. It turned out I didn't need a new DPF as my specialist dealer service left it at after many attempts to rectify, but in fact there were multiple issues that hadn't been picked up. Master Automobiles thoroughly sorted out each issue whilst leaving me with a loan car and now I've had it back for over a month and it's going beautifully. For DPF problems these are the folk to see for sure.

Our cars get sent straight here for everything from DPF to entertainment system, wouldn't go anywhere else. They are geniuses when it comes to BMWs, they just about diagnose the issue over the phone!!!! None of this lets try X,Y and Z like other mechanics.

Having recently written off my car and urgently needing a replacement I foolishly purchased a car with a DPF problem. After a bit more research I was very angry with myself for being so naive and trusting. We came to Master Automobiles from The Grampians, 4 hours from Burwood.Trevor, Chris and the team were wonderful in restoring my faith in human nature and honesty. The regeneration of the DPF and a roadworthy cost less than a new DPF from a Subaru dealer. I am under no illusion that the problem may recur but I appreciate the sound advice(and the use of the loan car). I feel a lot more confident in driving my new car and only regret how far away you guys are. Thank you.

I drive about 1000km each week and had always had my Volvo C30 serviced at the dealership I purchased it from, thinking that they would know how to best look after it. When they told me in late 2017 that I was facing a $3400 bill to have the DPF replaced (which should NOT have had any problems given the kms I drive) I searched on the net and found Master Automobiles. In short, Master Automobiles found the ACTUAL source of the problem, were able to get the DPF functioning again, and it all cost me only a bit more than half of what the dealership had quoted me. Throughout the process Master Automobiles kept me informed of what they would do and of what they found, and provided me with a loan car to continue my travels. I am so grateful for their expertise, knowledge and professionalism that I will be coming to Master Automobiles for all future servicing on my car, even though I live in Barwon Heads. i had the Infinity Dealer tell me that i needed a new Particulate filter at a cost of $4,000 + and i rang the guys at Master Automobiles, who advised it was unlikely in need of replacement as the car had only travelled 75000 Kms. They diagnosed the fault as oxygen sensor and replaced and tested the particulate filter. the service was first class, and they saved me $4,000

The service I received from Chris was fantastic. I took my 2008 BMW X5 to him due to dpf warnings. Within a few hours he fully diagnosed the problem, which was unrelated to dpf. He was thorough when explaining the issues to me and was patient with any questions I had. Since the repairs, my car has been driving better than ever. Their experience and honesty was very reassuring to me, being a young female. Highly recommmed to anyone experiencing similar problems.

I live in far south NSW but still take my Amaroc to Kaz and Chris for repairs and analysis when I am down in Melbourne. These guys are extremely knowledgeable, honest and reasonably priced. They are happy to spend time explaining the problems and solutions. A couple of months ago we had major problems with aspects of the emission control systems after being given wrong information by the local VW Dealer, and were stuck in Warragul. I rang Master Automobiles in desperation and they said to come in immediately even though I had had no previous contact with them. The Amaroc keeps developing new emission management problems which I now only trust these guys to investigate and repair.

Spoke with Chris this morning about what I thought was a DPF problem, but was advised that from my description, that the it was running its normal regeneration processes - most importantly that there wasn't much to worry about. The thing I was most impressed about was that Chris took the time to explain everything (I have a good understanding of cars), but the nicest thing was his honesty - not going straight in for the problem and cost! For my next service, I know who I'll be coming to.

I had my DPF warning light come on for my BMW X5. I was quoted over $6k to have it fixed by BMW. I took it to Master Automobiles who not only resolved the problem, but fixed a number of other issues the car had for much less. Chris and the team looked after my 2011 Diesel Grand Cherokee with a DPF issue. Diagnosed the fault and told me how to most appropriately fix it and where you can and can't cut costs. Very reasonably priced in terms of their service. Unfortunately Diesels and Jeeps parts are expensive, but the boys at Master Automobiles know their stuff and are very helpful and reasonable. Highly recommended.

Ok..when I first got my Mercedes I was absolutely terrified on how much it was going to cost to service or if something went wrong..I called around and was in shock at the prices some places were quoting..I called Chris and when he quoted me I thought there was a mistake- I was nervous as I took my "baby" in..it wasn't a major chain mechanic..2 years later I am sooooo glad that I came here- I have been able to call on these guys for weird codes on my dash, strange gear changes and last minute oil situations..courtesy cars support and reassurance- oh and a car wash too! It is no accident that they deliver exceptional, happy and good old fashioned service..not like some stuck up pretentious places!! Highly recommended, price-service and honesty..:-) one very happy customer-you will be too!

Kaz and Chris provided a fantastic service, the best I think I've ever had from any mechanic. Went to them with a diesel particle filter issue which turned out to be considerably more than that. They worked through the problem with my Hyundai Santa Fe diesel and replaced and refurbished only the parts necessary to be changed which saved me thousands over the dealers changing attitude to wholesale change everything until things worked. Car ALWAYS goes to them now, as do all the family's cars. Really can't recommend them enough for their skill and customer service.

Thanks to the team @ masters automobiles, I had a dpf issue on my BMW X5 e70 SD a problem BMW couldn't fix so I decide to do research about this kind of issue. Upon contacting Kas & Chris at masters they gave me a solution and fixed the issue on hand and also provided me with a loan car. Happy with they're service and attention to detail, will highly recommend them to friends and family members and definitely will be taking my car back for servicing and hopefully not for engine problems :) Cheers guys

After months of having my Peugeot 308 looked at by many so called ‘experts’ (including Peugeot Dealer), I found Master Automobiles. They were the only centre to properly diagnose cylinder misfiring issues, computer error codes, engine shut down and general loss of power in the vehicle. Right from the initial phone call, they listened to the problems I was having and explained in a clear and professional manner as to possible causes – fully confident in their abilities and equipment to find the faults. After looking at the car in their impressive workshop (very neat and tidy), they found numerous issues that were not diagnosed previously and explained the best solutions to fix the problems. The repairs were done quickly and at a reasonable price – and the car now runs like new again! Fantastic service, highly recommended.
